4. Are there any side effects of Moxa Therapy?
Moxa therapy is generally considered safe and has been used for centuries. However, like any treatment, it’s important to use it properly. With Doctor Moxa, the smartpods provide controlled, adjustable heat, minimizing the risk of burns that can happen with traditional moxibustion. If you have sensitive skin or any pre-existing conditions, we recommend starting with lower heat settings and observing how your body responds.
Note: Occasionally, a small blister may appear during moxibustion. This isn’t from burning but rather a natural response as the treatment targets specific issues in the body.
5. Is your product suitable for everyone, or are there conditions it’s not recommended for?
Moxa therapy can be beneficial, but it’s not suitable for everyone. Avoid moxibustion if you have:
- heart disease,
- acute illness,
- skin conditions (wounds, skin infections, bruises, or known allergies to moxa)
- malignant tumors,
- bleeding disorders,
- diabetes,
- hypertension,
- or other serious medical conditions unless advised by a healthcare provider.
Pregnant women should only use moxa therapy under the supervision of a professional TCM therapist and after consulting a healthcare provider. Those with implanted medical devices, like pacemakers or artificial heart-lung machines, should consult a medical professional before use.

3. Can I adjust the heat settings on the smartpods?
Yes, our smartpods feature three adjustable heat settings, allowing you to choose the level of heat that works best for each acupoint. This makes the therapy more effective and personalized, as different points on your body may require different levels of warmth for optimal results.
Settings:
- Blue light (Low): 47°C
- Green light (Medium): 52°C
- Red light (High): 57°C
These light indicators help you easily identify which heat level is in use, ensuring you can adjust the temperature based on your comfort and therapeutic needs.
4. Are the herbal patches reusable?
No, the herbal patches are designed for single-use to ensure maximum effectiveness during each session. After each use, simply discard the patch and apply a fresh one for your next treatment. This ensures that you’re getting the full benefit of the therapy with every application.
5. How long should I use the patches and smartpods in each session?
The detailed guidelines provided with your program will specify the ideal duration for each session. Following these instructions ensures that you get the best possible results from your treatment.
6. How do I store the herbal patches and smartpods?
Store the herbal patches in a cool, dry place to maintain their effectiveness. For the smartpods, ensure they are fully charged and stored safely when not in use. Keeping everything clean and dry will help maintain their performance for future sessions.

1. What payment methods do you accept?
We accept Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, iDEAL, Klarna, Google Pay, Apple Pay, PayPal, and Doctor Moxa gift cards. Our aim is to provide a range of payment options that best suit your needs.
2. Can I cancel or modify my order after placing it?
Once your order is placed, it is processed immediately to ensure fast delivery. Unfortunately, this means that we cannot modify or cancel orders after they have been confirmed. If you have any concerns, please contact us, and we’ll do our best to assist.
3. Will I receive a confirmation email once my order is placed?
Yes, once your order is successfully placed, you will receive a confirmation email with all the details of your purchase. If you don’t see it in your inbox, please check your spam or junk folder.
4. How do I track my order?
Once your order is shipped, we’ll send you an email with your tracking information. You can use this information to track your package directly through the shipping provider’s website.
Shipping & Delivery
1. What are your shipping options, and how long will delivery take?
We offer Standard and Express shipping options. Standard shipping typically takes 3-7 business days, while Express shipping takes 1-3 business days. Delivery times may vary depending on your location and other factors outside of our control.
2. Do you offer free shipping, and if so, what are the conditions?
Yes, we offer free shipping on your first order after subscribing to our newsletter or on orders over 100 € within the Netherlands.
3. Do you ship internationally?
At this time, we do not ship internationally. We currently only offer shipping within the Netherlands.
Returns & Refunds
1. What is your return policy?
We have a 30-day return policy. You can return your item within 30 days of receiving it, as long as it's in the same condition you received it, unworn or unused, with the original tags and packaging, and accompanied by the receipt or proof of purchase.
2. How do I initiate a return?
To start a return, please contact us at info@doctormoxa.com. Once your return is approved, we will send you a return shipping label and instructions on how to send your package. Please note, items sent back without requesting a return first will not be accepted.
3. How long does it take to receive a refund?
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you if the refund has been approved. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 10 business days. It may take additional time for your bank or credit card company to process the refund. If you haven't received your refund after 15 business days, feel free to contact us at info@doctormoxa.com.
